Maine Heritage Timber Frames LLC is affiliated with two institutions throughout New England. These schools offer top-notch design & build classes, including all levels of hands-on timber framing. If you or someone you know is interested in taking a class, check out the websites below!

Heartwood School

You can take classes with Ariel Burns among countless other instructors at their campus in Alstead, NH.

Yestermorrow Design / Build School

Community Outreach

We love to share the word of timber framing in the community! It feels important to highlight this New England tradition, showcasing the craft in an educational way. Check out some of our local community partners & projects!

 

Portland Flower Show

MHTF has been featured in the Portland Flower Show in 2018 and 2019, partnering talented landscape designers & gardeners.

 

 

Our 2019 Flower Show frame was purchased by Woodside Elementary School in Topsham in 2020.We assembled the frame in their courtyard with the help of some students.

Litchfield Fair

 

 

 

 

 

MHTF has also brought an interactive component to the Litchfield Fair, where anyone is welcome to try some of our hand tools on real timbers.
